Metadata is required before you can fully modify a task. If cached metadata is not available, you can modify some parts of the task, but you must wait for RETS Connector to download new metadata before all task settings are available for modification.

u    To modify an existing task:

1.       From the main window, click a task name to select it.

2.       Click the Modify Task button at the bottom of the window, or select Task Details from the View menu to open the settings tabs for the task:

       General tab. Change the task description, field name format, results folder (see Results Folder), search name, incremental modification field (see Scheduling Tasks), or search timeout (see Search Timeout).

       Search Criteria tab. Change search criteria (see Modifying Search Criteria); add searches to the task (see Adding Searches to a Task); remove searches from the task (see Removing Searches from a Task).

       Data Fields tab. Change downloaded fields (see Selecting Download Fields); add searches to the task (see Adding Searches to a Task); remove searches from the task (see Removing Searches from a Task).

       Data Format tab. Change download settings: data file format, data selec­tion, and output file (see Download Settings); add searches to the task (see Adding Searches to a Task); remove searches from the task (see Removing Searches from a Task).

       Media tab. Change media download settings (see Media Download); add searches to the task (see Adding Searches to a Task); remove searches from the task (see Removing Searches from a Task).

       Log File tab. Change logging and metadata storage options (see Log File and Metadata Storage Settings).

       Notification tab. Change notification settings (see Notification Settings).

       Download Schedule tab. Change task scheduling options (see Scheduling Tasks).

3.       After making the desired changes, click OK to save them.
